I recently watch the trailer of a supernatural film called spirit trap. The horror/thriller was diected by David Smith and made in 2005. The main action that was shown in the trailer didnt encourage me to watch the film as i wasen't intriged at all. Spirit trap looked low budget with cast that are not well known. The trailer didnt have a catchy tagline, and there was no voice over to gain a better interest. All the shots were fast and gave to much of the film away leaving no suspence. The titles came up in unappropriate font which didnt really go with the genre of the film. Oveall i wouldn't go and see the film after watching the trailer.

Supernatural Horror Trailer (Devil)
The supernatural trailer that I decided to watch was 'Devil'. The movie had an excellent trailer which has certainly encouraged me to go and watch this film when it is released on 17th September 2010. The typography that was used definitely sent a message out to the target audience as it was bold with white lettering. Another sign of the producers indicating what the film may be about is when a letter in each line dripped down, just like the way blood drips. Quick flash scene's are used throughout the whole trailer as it increases the tension when the audience watch the trailer. Towards the end of the trailer they used the sound of when an elevator stops after each level, this once again grabs the attention of the audience as many people are not keen on elevators. The trailer finishes with a young women screaming for her life, this was deliberately placed at the end of the trailer to ensure that the women screaming is the last sound you hear in the trailer. Finally, the typography used to tell the audience what the film is called is in the colour red and the capital letters that have been used to catch the attention of the target audience as they are bold and eye catching.

Supernatural Horror Trailer (Devil)
The Supernatural horror that i watched was 'Devil'. This trailer really made me want to watch the movie when it come out on cinema on the 17th September. The fast cutting rate of when they see quick flashes of supernatural things through a CCTV camera really drew me more towards watching it, as this is similar to what we want to achive in our movie, so it made me want to see it even more, also the trailer does not reveal to much information on who the 'Devil' is and because of this and all the killings it really made me want to find out who it is.

Supernatural Horror Trailer (Drag Me To Hell)
Drag me to hell is a supernatural horror film made in 2009 by the director Sam Raimi. what made this film appealing is the trailer of the film and it's use of quick cuts and long cuts. the long cuts in this are used to show dialogue. Also heading towards the end of the trailer the cuts become quicker and also the level of noise is raised creating more tension and attracting target audinces to watch the the film. Also through the trailer cuts have been used to show typograghy. It's interesting as they choose to used bold black writing. Also the writing dissloves in to create a type of mysterious touch to the trailer. Overall I find this trialer to be very appealing and after seeing it would like to see the film.
